LOS ALAMITOS, CA – Nail trends come and go, but what colors and designs are popular now? Upcoming holidays, special events, and even celebrities are influencing factors in current nail art among teenagers.

Since winter is almost in season, so are holiday-themed nails. Deep red or green and mauve-brown colors are on the rise. On the less plain and simple side, people are getting festive holiday styles. Glitter and Christmas designs are popular for the month of December.

Another influence on nail art is celebrities. In early July, Hailey Bieber’s “Glazed Donut Nails” rose to popularity. Bieber has been featured with the simple, yet elegant nails since 2022. The design is as simple as a base color of choice paired with a top coat of chrome powder to add an iridescent effect.

As new trends enter and exit, the basics have always stuck around. Simple black, white, or neutral nails are always a statement. Many people personalize these ordinary nails by adding a different shape or length of nail. Square, almond, and coffin nail shapes help to exemplify the once-basic nails.

Whether you have trendy nail designs or the evergreen basics, nails are about expressing yourself and showing who you are. Nail colors and designs are a fun way to add to your look and accessorize.
