LOS ALAMITOS, CA – On Friday December 16th, our Los Al jazz band performed their winter show in the PAC. It was very well played and the fruit of their hard work was apparent.

Before the concert, Mr. Padilla, the director of the jazz band, said the preparations were a smooth journey. The combination of joyful holiday songs along with pieces that fit each class level made the composition of music very nice. The brand new collaboration with choir’s SoundFX was something he was very excited for.

The concert itself was very well done. Jazz 1, 2, and 3 all performed superbly and music like Frosty the Snowman with the show choir was put together well. The soloists and combos were clearly rehearsed and prepared.

Lon Monk, a saxophone soloist in Jazz 1 shared his thoughts on the concert. He said that he was “excited to get on stage and play. The Christmas concert is one of my favorites because the music is very recognizable to the audience and the whole room feels festive.”

All in all, this concert was a success and future concerts to come will be of a similar caliber.
