Brooklynn De Shazer, Editor
Brooklynn De Shazer is a sophomore at Los Alamitos High School and is going into her second year at the Griffin Gazette. She is excited to continue expanding her writing and see where the Griffin Gazette goes this year. Brooklynn has a marketing internship with the Youth Center in Los Alamitos. As an Impact Storyteller, she has been published multiple times in print through her internship. In school, she is in show choir and outside of school, she does dance at Orange County Song and Dance Studio. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and going to the beach.

Sophia Shalbey, Staff Writer
Sophia Shalbey is a senior at LAHS, and this is her first year with the Griffin Gazette. She loves reading, writing, baking, junk journaling, among various other crafts, and snowboarding, and hopes that the journalism class will help her develop skills for the future. Sophia is president of the LeadHERS club, and she is also involved in Model United Nations, Spanish Honors Society, Link Crew, and more. With a passion for women’s rights, Sophia hopes to pursue a political science career and make a tangible difference in the world.
