In real life, it’s more so a trend, so no, it isn’t necessarily a “real holiday.” It’s a fictional fest. However, it is a fun excuse to celebrate your favorite holiday twice a year! In the show, the specific day of Summerween is June 22, but in real life, the celebration is very broad, and you can celebrate it any day in the summer.

The trend of celebrating Summerween was popularized on TikTok. In the original video, the creator @hauntina celebrates a party hosted by @finalgirljess, where they do summer activities like barbecuing and swimming in the pool, but they make each activity Halloween-themed. After this video got 3.4 million views, many creators started using the audio on videos of their own with Halloween-themed picnics and movies, including a video created by @visitsalem that shows the infamous city of Salem, Massachusetts, celebrating Halloween in the summer.
