Sonnet Perkins is a freshman at Los Alamitos high school and this is her first year in journalism. She is a staff writer and is very excited to explore all kinds of writing this year.  She joined journalism because she wanted to become familiar with the field before college. Sonnet spends most of her time dancing for Southland Ballet Academy. She is also part of Los Alamitos High School Intermediate Three dance program. In her free time, though she finds herself very busy, she enjoys reading, writing, and listening to music. She’s excited to start writing about campus events and current events in the world.
