LOS ALAMITOS, CA – What the hail?! Today, Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 1:45 p.m., Los Alamitos experienced a five minute bout of hail. Although brief, it was an exciting moment for Los Alamitos High School’s students.

Hail might not be as exciting for someone living in naturally chilly climates, the snowy precipitation was a thrilling experience for Los Al students. Living in Southern California, many Los Al students have never experienced hail or snow falling from the sky.

As the hail rained down, students and faculty across campus left their classrooms to enjoy some time in the cool weather. Students ran around and caught pieces of hail in their hands as they marveled at the dynamic weather.

Although short-lived, the hail was definitely an experience to remember!
