LOS ALAMITOS, CA — This year the school is creating a brand new office on campus, the Wellness Center. On the 9th of December, they held an opening for teachers to visit the “Loft”, the name of the center. Visiting the center, it is obvious that a lot of love and care was put into making the center as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

Mrs. Ledterman, the wellness counselor on campus and head of the center discussed the purpose of the event and the center itself.

“If they just need a space to come in and just chill out and relax, they can use it if they need to decompress.”

The event was fairly small, with a handful of both staff and students coming in at lunch to eat and talk. The most appealing aspect was being able to see the prosperity of the space. The space has soft-launched this semester but is expected to grow following the second semester in 2023.
