Falling together: Seasonal dates to try this fall

Everybody loves dressing up for Halloween and planning cute outfits, so why not match with your partner? Although this may not be considered an acutal “date” it’s still a perfect exuse to look cute with your partner. Coordinated Halloween costumes like Barbie and Ken, Harley Quinn and the Joker, or Velma and Shaggy are just some classic couples’ costumes that will automatically make the night more adorable.

Taking a trip to the pumpkin patch is a classic fall date that will never get old. You can spend the afternoon or evening strolling through the bundles of pumpkins to find the perfect one to carve later, or to snap a few photos and enjoy each other’s company. Some pumpkin patches even offer hayrides, food stands with seasonal treats, farm games and gift shops. Irvine Railroad Pumpkin Patch, Tanaka Farms, The Pumpkin Factory at Westminster Mall and The Original Manassero Farmers Market are great spots to take your partner during the fall season.

Apple picking during the fall is a must-do activity for couples looking to make memories. Walking through the orchard, picking apples, filling your baskets and taking cute pictures with your partner to make the most of the season. You can enjoy your handpicked apples by making homemade goodies at home, like apple cobbler, caramel apples and apple pie.

There’s no better time to visit a scary amusement park during the Halloween season. Seeing the park’s seasonal decorations, waiting in line for rides and enjoying the cool weather while walking around is unlike anything else. Amusement parks such as Knotts Scary Farm, Universal Halloween Horror Nights and Spooky Disney are great places to take your significant other for a spooky, unforgettable night.

A scary movie marathon night is an absolute must-do before Halloween is over. Movies like “Frankenstein,” “The Mummy,” “Dracula” and “Creature from the Black Lagoon” are classic horror films worth watching. Horror franchises like “Scream,” “The Conjuring,” “Fear Street,” “Halloween” and “Texas Massacre Destination” are scary but amazing must-watches.

For coffee lovers, buying an overpriced fun drink and going on a fall-themed coffee date is an easy way to spend time with one another. Whether it’s sipping a pumpkin spiced latte and eating a seasonal treat, or getting your usual order – there’s something about enjoying warm drinks on an autumn day with someone you love.

Baking warm treats and enjoying them with someone you love is something everybody should do during the fall. Making homemade treats like cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pancakes, apple butter bread and French toast is perfect, or maybe even buying a store-bought item and throwing it in the oven also works.

Everyone loves receiving or giving gifts, so why wait till a birthday? Make a personal “boo basket” with all of your significant others’ favorite things and fall goodies! The baskets go both ways, as both a girl and a guy can make and give to one another.
