LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. — Senior Awards Night, hosted at Los Alamitos High School’s Performing Arts Center on May 22, was an emotional roller coaster for many. Students, parents and staff filled the PAC cheering on the amazing graduating class of 2025.

Many memorial scholarships were given out commemorating former students and staff in their memory. Students who showed excellent qualities and academic accomplishments were given these scholarships. In addition to all of these scholarships, many recognition awards were given to specifically selected students who were chosen by a variety of staff and faculty, including the valedictorians.

“(Receiving the Valedictorian Award) feels really awesome after putting in all the hard work and dedication,” Adam Kogen, one of the Valedictorian Award recipients, said.

Lucas Beltran, Jeffrey Chung, Alexandria Hatakeyama, Phoenix Huynh, Adam Kogen, Jacob Leung, Daniel Li, Vivian Moore, Emma Osborne and Kaylah Rhee were all the valedictorians for the class of 2025. One of these students will be chosen to write a very special speech and speak at the upcoming graduation ceremony.

Along with the Valedictorian Awards, there were many other awards given, including Griffin Spotlights, Principal’s Impact and the World Language Honor Societies awards. A total of 37 individual awards and scholarships were given out during the event.

Congratulations to all of these students; LAHS will miss everyone who made a difference and made LAHS a better place. We look forward to seeing what they achieve in the next step of their lives.
