LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – With the rise of outer space-inspired clothing and accessories, ranging from “Give me some space” hoodies to crescent moon fidget rings, star-shaped acne patches are all the rage in the high school universe. In fact, kids like them so much that they are practically turning into constellations themselves.

“Ever since the Mercury retrograde, I’ve LOVED everything outer space! And these patches are just one more way I can express my obsession with the cosmos,” said Los Alamitos High School sophomore Reese Neiger.

These trendy patches come in a variety of bright neon colors, such as “Notice Me” yellow, “Too Cool 4 Skool” blue, and “Not-So-Demure” pink. These pimple patches can tackle breakouts while also keeping a low profile, with the ultimate goal of hiding the fact that the wearer has acne on their face.

“I don’t think the bright colors draw that much attention to my face, I think it actually does the opposite and hides my breakouts really well,” said LAHS senior Liz Frank.

And it’s not just teenagers who are adding these face-stickers to their skincare routine, celebrities love them too.

Pop singer Justin Bieber, who was seen wearing these breakout-busting patches out in public, made a statement on Instagram praising the product:

However, some claim that the star-shaped patches don’t even work as well as other, more basic-shaped brands. Still, kids love wearing it for the aesthetics.

“My acne is worse than ever, but I still like to wear them to school because they’re so cute!” said LAHS junior Aiden Floyd.

You can buy these trendy beauty accessories online or at a local department store for anywhere between $10.99 to $16.99. Talk about affordable!

Whether it’s going to an outer space-themed rave or just getting to class on time, make sure to stay current and fit in with everyone else with these star-shaped acne patches!
