LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. — From March 10-14, Los Alamitos High School ASB hosted the annual Griffin Games! Seniors and freshmen (the red team) competed against the sophomores and juniors (the blue team) in games displaying our school spirit. Students dressed up and posted pictures in their Griffin Games outfits to win points for their teams.

The theme was Mathletes vs. Athletes on Monday, the start of a competitive week. The blue team dressed as nerds and the red team as jocks, a basic but classic theme. LAHS can always count on ASB to show school spirit, and their Griffin Games fits were on point.

On Tuesday, the red team dressed in 70s fashion, while the blue team dressed like the 80s. Fewer students dressed up because of the rainy weather, but ASB still pulled through.
Wednesday was a minimum day for the LAHS Showcase, and the red team dressed as barbecue dads and the blue team as soccer moms. Most students can think of at least one person they know who resembles a barbecue dad or soccer mom, which made this theme especially fun and humorous.

Thursday was Snooze vs. Jungle Cruise, which, while a seemingly random theme, did rhyme. The red team dressed for an adventure in the jungle, while the blue team dressed like many high school students in pajamas.

Friday was the Griffin Games assembly! Each team showed up wearing their respective color. The red team ended up winning Griffin games, 1600 to 500 points. Go, freshmen and seniors! Everyone hustled hard in the 2025 Griffin Games and did a great job showing their school spirit.
