As someone with no experience working with clay, I wanted to see how hard a day in Ceramics 1 would be. I visited while they were making their projects for finals and decided to try it myself. I wanted to see how students were making their projects before I started mine, so I talked to a few students to see how they were making their animals. Senior Amber Davis showed me her leopard gecko head and the rough shape of its body. As she worked on the body, Davis described her process for adding texture to her gecko. "I'm going to indent stuff, but then I individually have to make tiny little dots because they have that scaly look. It's going to be a lot of work," Davis said.

This is such a cool series idea, and the ceramics class is the perfect way to kick it off! I love the combination of writing and photos, you guys did such a great job on this!
