LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – This holiday season, join orchestra and dance for a magical evening of dance, music and more, brought to you by Los Alamitos High School’s incredible students. Students from all over campus came together to bring this holiday classic to life. This unforgettable production will transport you into a world of festive cheer.
LAHS orchestra is hosting the production “Nutcracker In A Nutshell” this week. There will be two shows: one on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. and another on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. At the Friday show, there will be a special visit from Santa.
LAHS orchestra is performing with drama. Not only will the show have orchestra and drama, but the show will also feature LAHS dance, jazz, band and choir. All the incredible performing art programs on campus have come together to create a spectacular holiday show based on the classic ballet “The Nutcracker.”
From the singers to the orchestra and to the actors, “Nutcracker In A Nutshell” is a chance to witness the talent that makes our school so special. You will be amazed by the amount of energy and passion that goes into creating the show.
Student admission is free when using the code STUDENT. If you’re not a student, tickets range from $15 to $30. Gather your friends and family for a night filled with festive cheer and incredible talent.
“I am very excited to go see this show. I love ‘The Nutcracker,’ and I am very excited to see their take on it,” Quinn Johnson, LAHS freshman, said.
At both shows, there will be snow machines, a hot cocoa and coffee bar, fun snacks, carolers and more. Even before and after the performance, you will be able to continue the holiday spirit while supporting our fantastic school programs.
Students have spent countless hours putting together this production and are very excited to finally be able to perform.
“It is my first year performing, and I am very excited. It’s going to be a great show filled with holiday joy,” Olivia Choi, a freshman in LAHS orchestra, said.
