LOS ALAMITOS, CA — In the early evening of Saturday, Sept. 30, at 6:39 p.m., gunshots were fired on Loch Lomond Road, which sent two suspects to the hospital. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has released some information regarding the shooting and the events that led up to it.
“This appears to be an isolated incident, no outstanding suspects, and the investigation is ongoing,” the OCSD North Patrol wrote in a post on Instagram.
Two male suspects met for a drug deal at block 11000 on Loch Lomond when they released gunfire. Residents around the area of the shooting stated that around 1o shots were fired, and police arrived at the scene quickly. No information was released regarding any casualties occurred during the shooting, but a dog was caught in the crossfire and killed.
“[The shooting] resulted in two arrests and multiple guns, drugs, and money confiscated,” the North Patrol wrote in another Instagram post.
The charges given to the suspects who were taken to the hospital are unknown, but the police arrested them, and they will be taken into holding once released from the hospital.
As the investigation continues, more information about the details of the shooting and the suspects involved will be released by the OCSD.
