LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The city of Los Alamitos celebrates the changing seasons with upcoming events for the community to enjoy.

Vet Care Pet Clinic

On Sunday, March 12, the Los Alamitos Vet Care Pet Clinic will be holding an affordable pet vaccine and microchip clinic from 4-6 p.m.. Bring dogs and cats to receive a $14 rabies vaccine. The event will be held at the Los Alamitos Community center.

Weekend of Art

Starting on Friday, March 17 and ending on March 18, the Los Alamitos Community Center will be hosting Weekend of Art, a visual and performing arts exhibition open for all ages! The 7th annual event invites local artists to submit one to three works of art to be shown off and judged for a chance to win the $100 grand prize!

Due to the generous donors who financially contributed throughout the year, the event is happy to announce that the three primary categories will return; including Distinguished Awards, Two-Dimensional Awards, and Three-Dimensional Awards. The Two and Three-Dimensional Awards will contain four sub-categories, starting from elementary school to post-high-school graduates.

The Award Ceremony will be held on March 18 at 6:00 p.m..

Transitions in Motherhood

Every third Saturday of the month, Transitions in Motherhood hosts an event to distribute free diapers, wipes, clothing, and nonperishable foods. The company’s mission is to help expecting mothers become comfortable as they settle into motherhood. Mothers in need can receive free assistance at any stage of motherhood, including newborn, infancy, toddler care, and more.

In addition, Transitions in Motherhood provide prenatal and postnatal services and provide top-of-the-line services to help mothers with both emotional and physical growth as they settle into motherhood.
